Comparing V’s beginning to Evey’s they experience essentially the same thing such as a new beginning but go about it in different ways. When V starts his new beginning, he is standing in fire that symbolizes hate and destruction and a thirst for revenge. She embraces the rain and the new beginning that is being presented to her and believes in what she is doing is true and right. The rain pouring down on Evey symbolizes a clean state and is washing away her worries and problems to give her a fresh start. It shows that no matter what happens throughout their life they will always have their wit and spirit within them. This scene symbolizes a new beginning for each of them at the time of their freedom.

The purpose for their gathering is to change their government for the better and to live better lives. The use of this mask creates a unity between a ll the citizens in the city and unit as one by putting away their differences between one another for one purpose. V states that “A building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Without the use of symbols in this movie no change would have occurred in the government and or the people of Britain. Through V’s process of planning and executing these plans he pick’s different buildings and use them as a symbol for the citizens of Great Britain. This is why V is a hero in this film because the citizens of Britain don’t have many rights and are controlled by the government. V is creating getting revenge for what people have done to him and creating a knew British government in the process. He wears a mask to hide his face because he is not the same man from years before and makes a remark saying “There is a face beneath this mask but it’s not me. The main character in this movie is V, known as Hugo Weaving that never reveals his face and is fighting for injustice and revenge. This creates an alternate reality of what life could become and they people and the government act. This helped create the story line for V for Vendetta placing a person in an alternate world with a new government that runs Great Britain. When the book V for Vendetta came out during a troublesome time for the government, economy, and the people of Great Britain from the early 1970’s and into the 1980’s. It was based on the graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd and was published on March 1, 1982. The movie V for Vendetta was released in the year of 2006 and was directed by James McTeigue.
